Malfunctioning connections
So I took the connector's quiz last night and I failed. Now, I'm not proud of this and I am not using the blog to vent. It was amazing to see how many gadgets and gizmos there were. That was impressive and daunting. However do people keep it all straight? I know a lot about computers and can explain a fair amount of what I know, but not all of it. So what happens when I can't explain it and can't direct the patron to the right person? Is there a right answer to this? Some of this seems over my head, but that said I will press on ignore that and keep learning.

The test was difficult. I studied a lot, but really some of it was what fits where. Definitions were a little harder, but I really think I got lucky with what sounded right too :P That doesn't happen to me very often. Did you take it again? I think you can take it twice.
ReplyDeleteAmber, I had the same reaction to that test! It was pretty hard. In the 11 years I've been at the library, I've never had to deal with them (except the RCA connectors on movie night) but that list the professor made up for studying was something I printed out - in case I ever needed to identify them. I guess it is always good to be exposed to information. You never know when it will come in handy!
ReplyDeleteI only took it once. I took it after a week of reviewing the information but obviously I didn't study enough. Thank you both though
